Grupo Entre Amigas is an Educational-Social networking group open to all trans identify individuals (travesty, transgender and transsexual). The first hour of the meeting is educational, while the second hour is reserved for social activities.
Every week, Grupo Entre Amigas' group presenter, presents a topic of discussion or invites someone from a different area of expertise to present an educational topic. After the presentation, a free dinner is provided to group members. There is a second social hour, where members are encouraged to share information related to services, job opportunities, activities, hobbies, and anything else of common goal or interest.
Grupo Entre Amigas' goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and fun environment where their members can connect with other trans people. The group's focus is to find useful resources to advocate for transgender rights, including social and economic justice, and appropriate psychological care. In addition, members are informed about local, state, and provincial laws that protect transgender people from discrimination.
